87--LC 11M

Vern's first trip to LC, could have been better.
We only kited for about an hour in good wind
and good snow, away from sled tracks.
then had to deal with towing the sled back to the parking lot.

86--17M CC

Took out the Zephyr as a "rock kite"
There are always twigs showing up there.
But, the base is as good as I've ever seen it.
No air pockets under the sage brush, any snow on top will be creamy,
as was today, 1-2 new on top of the solid but not rock hard base.
Matt and I went places I've never been before, most of the area is covered.
Very pleasant surprise.

85--10M LV

Well it's the last day of one of the windiest trips ever.
Baja Joes' has a great feel to it, the communal kitchen was the place to hang out, eating and drinking.
There is a new coffee shop, bar,and a mystic, axxis north, store on site.
The on site storage is nice to just pack away after a day of wind.
The swell out side on days was up to 9 feet, but it is more like the swell at 3 mile, not the ocean.
I rode twin tip very little, and will give up on my 4'8" skater, its to small.
I plan on selling my 12M Catalyst also, the new Cat like my 10 is mucho better.
I rented Axxis New wave and it was a very smoth ride and easy to ride strapless.
I rented Axxis Pure Wave 5'7" and rode it quad, much more lively and a blast in the big swell.
Today we rode very gusty 10M early until we were overpowered.
We quit early to dry our gear for the pack down.
Now we are packing our gear for the trip home.
A live band is playing in the plaza here at Baja Joe's.
I feel Kitequila is coming to a peak

83--12M, 10M LV

I traded the surfboard in for a board more like I like.
A quicker board, quad fin
board.
It made the swell so much more fun to slash.maybe the best day this trip.

82--12M, 10M LV

Another day on the water with no end in sight.
I rode strapless today. No big deal.
I missed rodeoing. I doubt I'll ride strapless unless it's flat, light wind.

81--10M LV

The best day in LV.
Strong wind and big swellway out there.
Kinda like back country, you had to go way out to find the goods.
Lots of fun.
Swordfish for dinner tonight.

80--12M LV

I rented a surfboard and enjoyed the fullsize much better.
The swell was better than previous days.
I had a long session followed by mahi mahi from a guest that went fishing and left us with almost 10#

79--15M, 11M LV

The most sun we've see so far.
It made the thermal kick in.
15M and twin, 11M and surfboard.
We quit a little early today because the forecast is looking better every day.
Gotta save some energy.
Why is it so hard to find any good salsa in Mexico?, WTF

78-- 15M LV

Brought the big kite, used the big kite.
Not many others going up wind.
Just like a PV day, hour, and half then over.
I have photos but the slow internet makes blogger time out.
I'll post them when I get homet.

77--11M La Ventana

Here with Vern and Kyle.
We woke to quite a rain storm that appears to be very unusual here.
The forecast was optomistic, but the clouds looked omonious.
It finally blew through and we got to ride for as long as we wanted.
Twin tip first, choppy but fun.
Then went to the tiny surf board, small but fun.
Kitequila night, with our $27 bottle of Herradura Anejo, must be heaven!
