Great north wind all day
13m was great fun for hours
then backed down
rigged 16.5 but
overpowered last half of session
rode Vern's new Drop board, nice
off to the Gorge Friday

This is what I bought this kite for
steady 11mph
long floaty jumps with this kite.
first on, last off the water.

Not real strong
had to keep changing boards
127-147 depending on strength
died at 7:30 and we (Vern) packed up
then it picked back up,
we missed about an hours worth

Sulphur

Maybe, I shoulda windsurfed today
13m, got a few rides , super gusty
but the water level, with thick weeds,
kicked my ass.
kite went down by the pavilion
( I shouldn't have been in the wind shadow)
got into the weeds
and I got stuck 10 feet from shore
I could just touch bottom,
but wasn't moving much.
Doug pulled me to shore
with a ton of weeds on my lines

16.5M (Coulda rigged 23.5)
We thought it would be stronger
may have been the storms in S.F. canyon
Doug put his kite in the weeds
had to drag it out and back to the launch
then rigged bigger
the best wind was when he was off the water
as soon as he stepped back in the water
it went to shit (what's up with that?)
Hard to stay upwind
one jump and all upwind was lost
Water is still high
