11--PV 13M Edge

Late start, for easterly, 11:00
light wind, shitty snow.
done by 12:30
Hung around for these mysterious west winds.
Still light east @ 3:00
I think winter westerly will be very rare.

10--PV 13M Edge

Doug and I did the 7am easterlies till 11am
then we went to lunch.
we came back around 2:00 amd kited
South wind, at North Cemetery Point till sunset.


I flew the 13M Edge today.
Fast, (kite turning speed, and apparant wind, it's a go fast kite)
Powerfull, (this kite has the low end of a much bigger kite)
Easy to relaunch.
The first small jump went much bigger than I planned
because of the incredible lift it has.
Not as good of a gust buster as the "Sport"
but that is to be expected from higher aspect kite
I like it, but would still rather have my Instinct (or new Sport)

9-- Rush 13M

The best powder of the year.
We rigged on the hill,
just past the powerlines.
Rode down to the lake
for some soft pow.
Fun stuff
Big airs, soft landings.
and high speed spins.
Been waiting for the softer contitions
to do the fun stuff.
(don't like doing "tricks" on hard pack,, Puss)
Close to best day of the season.
Gusty wind backed off by 2:00

8--Skyline 13M

The early wind couldn't decide what direction
North then South then back.
Finally settled down.
Fun of the face of the hill.
The snowmobiles had made it like groomers.
Then the wind got fluky again.

7--PV 12M

Really light, but consistant.
Snow was quite good.
Got bored quick,
Started riding unhooked,
Then toeside unhooked,
both directions.
Quite fun..

6--Skyline 13M

The best wind was spent helping Jim get going.
Worth it, cause now he is on his own.
Light wind, not much new snow.
I even had to walk back.
Cold, -6
'07 kites on the way.
Can't wait...

5--Skyline 13M

5 kiters
and I was the only local.
We started on the ridge.
The wind started lighter,
but got stronger right up 'till it was dark.

4--Monte Cristo 13M

Powder Mountain was a blowout.
The snow coverage, and texture was horrible.
We went to Monte Cristo
for some light wind, for a couple of hours.
Not a bad spot.
We just have to hike in on a snowmobile trail for a couple hundred yards.

3-Dike Lake fields 12M

Waited for Irv to get off work.
Waited for the blizzard to subside.
Finally, we could see.
rigged 5M for Irv's virgin rides.
The south storm wind,
turned to north clearing wind.
I rigged 12M
and rode the hills in some fields
until sunset.
Best powder I've had this year.

Tincup Pass 12M

Not a counter.
It was blowing all day while I was working,
Could have kited at dozens of spots.
Just as I got rigged.
the sun went down, and so did the wind.

2-Skyline 13M 9M

More out of towners than locals.
To strong on top for my 13M
It will sure be better
on top with more snow.
I found a few untracked freshies.
Long, fun, day.
Noon till Sunset

1--Skyline 12M

No wind on the flats.
We all went to the ridge
and hiked up.
8 kites.
Very light.
But we got rides.
