37--11M 15M Rush

The best of it was the early smooth SE wind,
After that is started to get lighter and gustier.
Lot and lots of jibes the last two days,
hope it helps out when its in the chop and swell.
If not, I'll just go toe side, ha.

36-- 10M, 11M, 15M, 11M Rush

Rush at it's worst, and at it's best.
Pretty smooth early wind, then the mid day lull.
Then long strong stretches, followed by sort dead spots.
When it was good, it was awesome.
4 different sessions that all ended with super lulls.
Got some massive boosts with the 15M when the "train came down the pike"
I couldn't hold an edge, so I boosted, big.
Only at Rush can you kite a day like that, any where else you'd go home after the first super lull.
I really enjoyed the day!

35-11M DC

I had a board meeting to attend.
UWA Kite board that is.
The first meeting of the newly elected kite board of directors.
John, Kenny, and myself discussed the future direction of our new position.
First order of business for was a good kite session, for me it was on the surf board.
Enough of the twin tip, and short directional. Time for a real surfboard session.
It was very satisfying. Lots of showing off for the cameras up on the highway. I had to jump, even with the surfboard.
One professional came over after the session, maybe he'll post some photos on his site, I'll check later.
Next was our meeting, discussed talking Billy back into the position with us, there are those that do, and those that complain, Billy is a do-er.
Then who is in charge of the Summer Games kite event next month, John is taking front on that.
Kenny is going to see if Rosberg will help out with the Web site again, he originally set it up.
Meeting adjourned.

34--11M Lindon

Forecast looked good, but the clouds messed things up at ULLB.
On the way home after a skunking, we stopped at Lindon.
Kites were in the air when we got there.
We rigged and rode very turbulent winds for an hour or so.

33--15M Cab

Yesterday we watched for wind all day, with no results.
So for dinner the ladies came and cooked home cooking again.
Today we went to the Amber museum in Puerto Plata.
Most amber comes from Dominican Republic.
After the museum we went to an old fort on the beach.
While climbing up to the lookout tower, looking around, a guy we think we knew from the condo,
Made us paranoid with stories of tourist murders where we were standing a few days earlier.
We kinda ran like little girls out of there.
When we got back to the condo, the wind was light and northerly, opposite from normal.
We rigged big and got rides.
Then after dinner, we hung out at the Wabash Cabarete Concert for a while.

32--11M Cab

The forecast by the locals was for stronger wind in the afternoon.
Vern and Jim went out early on 17M. Kyle 13M.
After a short shopping walk gto LEK with the girls,
I optomistcly rigged my 11M, suprise.
It was good for a while, but as soon as i switched to the Skater (directional)
It started to lighten up and we all came in, hoping for strongerwinds in the afternoon.
That didn't happen, again.
We are kiting every day, but it's not normal to be the strongest early and weak later.
Cloudy every day at times so far. The Sun will make the normal winds come back.
The forecast is not sure when yet.
It's probably good that we aren't getting worn out by countless hours kiting at the first of the trip anyway.

31--11M CAB

WE started a little early because the chop looked not so bad.
My Jimmy has been great here but the boards Vern, Kyle and Jim are on,
are good but not as soft on the knees.
I glad I didn't wait for it to get stronger.
The waves aren't big but big enough for me and so much fun.
I'm studying them before I go out on my directional, and I'm ready.
I'm ready to put the Edge away and use my Catalyst for the lighter wind, in the waves.
Edges is not the greatest in the wave, to slow turning, and to much speed, it pulls me away from the wave.

I came in for a lunch break, and to change kite and board.
It started storming with some thunder. It never quit the rest of the day.

We had some local ladies come to Vern's larger condo and cook dinner for us.
Fantastic fish dinner with local trimings and desert, and they cleaned up after words
We gave them $100 to feed 7 of us, with tip and lots of left overs.
We're gonna do that a couple more tims before we leave.

30--11M Cabarete

I only kited an hour today after the long flight,
But I think this may be kite heaven.
Launching right in front of the condo,
Kinda choppy on the inside, like Maui
with some wave action on the reef.
The spouses can hang out on the lawn and watch of they want
Or hang at the pool or in the condo.
Most excellent.
