Rush
13M
Early session, typical rip & slog.
We almost left
then went back out for
the best south wind of the year
3 hours of smooth bliss.
Best day ever

Rush
16.5 and 13M
Gusty, shifty winds
Utah Kiters are a closer community
after today's "wake" for Mitch.

6/24 Rush 16.5
Doug and I went to Rush.
It was kinda surreal out there.
Rigged 16.5
did some big jumps, for me
But kinda don't care.
Did my first back spin ever.
But kinda don't care
Seems like some of the"stoke" is missing
Gonna miss Mitch

6/20 Rush 9M
What can I say,
another day
short but sweet
2:00-4:30
finally no crowds
me, one other kite and a jibber
more wind forcasted, but I'm toasted
gonna stay out of the sun tomorrow.

better wind than the Gorge
9M then 7M
Thanks for the use of the 7M Jon/Jeffry
thought it calmed down and rigged the 13M
fooled me, overpowered tip toeing across the lake.
ton-o-fun

6/18 Rush 13M
Vern, Doug and I,
met up with Jon , Jeffery
for one of the best days of the year
South, then north smoothies all afternoon.
If it was like this all the time,
we wouldn't need to kite anywhere else!!

6/17 Willard 5.2
Rigged the jibbin gear
5.2 78l JP
got a few rides then wind dies and---down wind
Flew Dougs 7m
but not enough to get away from shore
then started getting lighter
Doug rigged 9m,
then quickly to 17m
only got a few rides before it died
then switched to lousy North
----Willard----!!!
never had the right think rigged, at the right time.

Mitchell Joseph Cummings 1960 ~ 2005 Mitchell Joseph Cummings, beloved husband of Christina Fischer, died on Thursday, June 24th, 2005, in a sporting accident. Mitch was born to Rita and Francis Cummings in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 6th, 1960. He grew up in Tucson, Arizona until he moved to Salt Lake City as a young man to enjoy the great Utah skiing. He was a passionate sportsman, skilled at mountain biking, skiing, sailboarding, with a special love of kiteboarding. He was a self employed contractor/roofer, well known for working as hard as he played. Mitch was ever cheerful and friendly to all he met. He touched people with his generosity, ready smile and helpfulness. Mitch will be deeply missed by many. A candlelight vigil will be held in his honor at Rush Lake, Stockton, Utah, at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1st. "Come Faeries, take me out of this dull world, for I ride with you upon the wind..." W.B.
