8--Monte 13M

Rode my sled to find wind.
Then went back and got my gear.
Light wind before the storm rolled in.
Wind got stronger but
I left before it was a white out.

Pay my Way

I called PM ticket office today, to give them my Credit Card for the 2 days of kiting this year.
I also told the head ticket manager Dave, my humble opinion,
(and that I was the kiter they were chasing on their snowmobiles)
They gracefully declined, after I mentioned that there is no mention of fees on there web site.

I haven't made a decision on my future Powder mountain kiting.

7--Powder Mt. 11M

Doug and I arrived before noon to fresh powder
and strong enough wind to rig on top and zoom through the gap.
Doug 9M, me 11M,,,nice,,,
soft, fluffy snow, but got heavier as the day went on.
Slowly joined by other kiter's as the day went on.
Patroler's started collecting fee's, What a joke.
But patroler's on sleds, couldn't catch me and gave up.
I would have just told them to send the bill to Less.
To many other good spots for free.
PM isn't that good anyway.

6--Powder Mt. 10M

It was a whiteout when we arrived.
Wind was 18mph avg. and steady.
We just hung out in the lodge, and bar.
After Augie left.
It starting clearing nicely.
The wind was very west, so we hiked over.
Didn't want to get stuck in the gap.
Took the Manta, sure easy to throw and go.
Super fast snow, with 3" to 4" of new fluff.
(don't want to go fishing with Jon. He posted 12" plus)
Couple hours of carving, and a few jumps on the foil.
Getting there, just not the same as the Instinct.
We really carved it up. Can't imagine 40 kiter's on the hill.
Left to the start of a nice sunset, with the moon on the rise.

5--Strawbs 13M

Not as windy, but nice powder.
Biggest glides ever for me,
even landed a few.
Jake joined Doug and me for a quick
trip to the other side and back.
We went all over the hills at Chicken Creek S/W

4--Strawbs 9M

When I pulled up to Chicken Creek,
It was blowing 25-30. WOW
I love the power when using smaller kites..
The snow was good enough to have pops and spins galore.
Billy and I crossed the lake and played on the south side.
It got weak fast, and we zoomed back to the north hills.
Traded billy for The Nemesis. Still like my kite better.
Faster turning, and more pop. IMHO
Best day this year.

It is an awesome area.
With an view over the top to the red rock country below.
Tons of area.
The snow was wind blown, with powder patches.

1--Monte 10M, 9M

85 MPH on the top of Ogden Peak.
Seems to be a good forecast for Good wind at Monte.
IT WAS.
We put 3 kites on my sled, and I towed Augie
to one of the ridges away from the main trail.
Started on my 10M Manta, for a while,
Then when the wind picked up I rigged my 9 Instinct.
Augie rode his 7.5 Frenzy.
The snow was great when we started, but got heavier as the day went on.
My best snowkiting day this season.
