As soon as the Weber Canyon Power Plant meter changed from east to west,
We headed to Pineview.
"The first clear day after stormyness",
is a pretty good bet for wind.
The only problem was, it wasn't completly clear.
We went to Middle Inlet and rigged on the sandy beach.
It probably won't be there long, as PV fills.
The wind was good, till a cloud came through.
We would rip upwind when it was blowing,
then slog downwind in the cloud induced lulls.
Doug, Vern and I had hours of fun.
The wind was full when blowing, so big airs were the call.
The little swell is like kickers for bigger jumps.
Air jibes are getting bigger and funner,
so are the spins.
When Pineview is on, it's so good.

31--Rush 13M
SE winds today. My favorite.
Gustier than usual for SE.
Riding to the pig farms and back,
finding the butta at the south side.
Then going back to the deeper water for Jumping.
Did my first in air kiteloop (in water) with added smooth landing.
Got really high once, scared myself.
All Instincts, except for Thomas and Vern.
Won't be long, Vern will have Instinct larger than his 9M.
3 day in a row.

30--Rush 13M
Got there at noon to fairly good wind.
Had to use bigger Caution board to stay upwind cause of the gustyness.
But it didn't last more than a couple of hours
before it was westerly, fluky.
Good riding, but to short of a day.

28--Rush 13M
Fair wind, but got bored quickly.
Kiting alone just isn't fun anymore.
At least Jake showed up, but without his gear.
He was just passing by from friends house,to check water level.

27--Powder Mountain 13M

Doug and I were the only kiters out.
We kited from the parking lot to the ridge.
But could not get back because the wind lightened up.
We just played on the ridge top for hours.
The snow was hard when we arrived then got really good for about 2 hours. Then turned to mush.
Doug didn't take his new kite, so we took turns on my Sport.

26--Strawbs 13M

Wind was good all day out of the north. As the afternoon progressed the clouds diminished and the wind got stronger.
Snow was getting wet and deep but the wind stayed steady all day.
Jon and I went out to the "good snow" past the point.
Two of us made a kicker by the parking lot. My first time with a kicker, man that was FUN.
At the end of the day, we took 2 vans to the ladders, Jon drove us back, then a bunch of us did a KILLER downwinder. Playing of the flats, on the shores and out to the island. What a great day, and fun crowd to kite with.

25--Skyline 13M
Working down south. Got to Skyline @ 2:00.
People there taking lessons.
Did product testing for Brian with different bars/lines.
The wind was fluky, gusty.
I had bad timing all day, bad jumps, and crashing spins.
Gotta pay them dues.

KSL news from Saturday
The Video had me putsing on the top of the hill.
http://real.ksl.com/video/slc/sid_video/950061.ram
http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=148&sid=950061
The wind came late.
The snow was softer with the warmer temps.
Had 1 good session,
with more good, smooth jumps
and more kite loop jumps.
Worn out.
Great weekend.

23--Skyline 13M OSKM

Light winds, but good kiting with a lot of great kiters.
Raced for the first time, lots of fun.
I got a great start, but quickly got behind, climbing the hill.
Zoomed from the first flag to the second,
then lost the wind in the turn.
I came ripping down the hill, and passed Gibby at the finish line.
With my kite lines hitting the finish flag, because I had to go so lot to pass.
The late afternoon session was great. Snow softened up.
I did many Kite loop jumping transitions.
Big, smooth jumps. some with Chasta right on my tail.
It felt good.
The main party at the dance hall was fun.
no drinking tonight. We called it at 11:00.

22--Skyline 9M OSKM
I left early to help Brian, Heather, Chasta, Motz, Zeb and Jake
set up the dance hall for the party.
Around 1:00 it lightend up and some of us headed to the hill.
It was still a blizzard 15-35 mph.
When it started to let up a little,
I rigged 9m and headed to the top.
It lightened up a lot.
I just cruised for a few hours,
I knew i would have to walk back when I got to the bottom. I did.
Then I broke out the Tequila at the tent.
Heather, Chasta, Brian, Billy, Jacob, and a few others killed the bottle.
Jon came after work, and we met at the Ozone Crew party.
We finished a flask of Traditional, quickly an enjoyed the crew party.
We stayed At the Horseshoe.
