20--Skyline 13M

Finally a great powder day at Skyline!!!!
We followed Heather and Chasta to Skyline.
I thought I would have enjoyed Strawbs better,
but I really glad we went to Skyline.
With the new snow finally covering the hardpacked, sage brush drifts,
It was finally fun to get some good riding on Bosco.
Heather and I had the hill to our self for a long time.
She was jumping one direction, I did the other.
Big floaty side hill jumps, not down hill.
Soft snow landings, if anything went wrong.
Chasta came and joined us, after exploring the ridge south.
It was great.....
Jon was on snowboard all day,
he's getting it down really good.

19--Strawbs 13M

We met up with Chasta and Ely.
Followed them across the reservoir
to the south marina,
where they found a fun hill to jump off.
We went back and got the van and drove to the marina.

Chasta gave us a show during a break.
Jumping off the big hill, jumping the road, many times,
while we sat in the van, resting.
He jumped on top of the pavilion and rode across the top,
he did grinds on the picknick cabanas.
He has unbelievable skills, both board and kite.

I had a great second session,
I found a gentle slope that had the perfect wind direction
for my goofy foot preference.
Inspired by Chasta, it was some of the funnest jumping
I've ever done on snow.
What a memory.
Chasta flying off the hill above,
while I'm playing on the "bunny" hill.
This should be a fun next few weeks.

18-- Strawbs 13M

POWDER,,, finally.
After yesterdays confidence builder,
the powder was just the shot in the arm I needed for snowkiting.
The snowdrifts behind the sagebrush
made for some very fun kickers,
with soft powder on the leeward side.
It was killer..
Jeff and I went exploring,
while Jon stayed close, practicing on the snowboard.
He's gonna be a true snowkiter real soon....
I used my waist harness again today,
it's what I need to be using.

17--Rush 13M

After our killer session at Monte,
We checked the current wind at Rush,
on my new phone with internet.
13-17 at Pennys
Jon had been out already when we arrived. 18-25
It was a lot of fun to be back on the water.
My confidence level was finally back,
after the months of hard packed snow we have been on.
Jumps and spins came right back to me.
I'm just a puss on hard pack snow....
I felt like I'd hit a wall.
Today riminded me, it's just the conditions.
Plus I think I like my waist harness better.

16-Monte 13M

When we talked early, the plan was to go to Rush,
but we knew it was 40 plus on the mountain tops.
We decided to hit Monte cause we knew there would be wind.
We were uncertian of the kitability of Rush.
We walked north on the road to the top of the second ridge.
The wind came up as we were rigging.
Untracked couple of inches of early morning cold freshies.
enough wind to go where ever we wanted,,, it was cool.
After the sun was up a while, the snow started to get kinda heavy.
We kited all the way back to the main road.
great session, but we were courious about Rush.

The wind was good
the snow was OK
but I'm really "Jone'sn" for some powder.

13--Skyline 11M 13M Sport

I love it when I have new kite
and get to use it first time out.
Last year the 11M was my favorite
Same thing with the new model.
I was on 11M when Doug was on his 17M
He then rode the 11M demo
Grinning from ear to ear.
Little fluky wind from the North.
The direction I like to speed down hill
and try mini Glides.
Pretty hard snow, so not very high for me.
Late afternoon lightened up
and I went out on my 13M.

12--PV 13M '07 Sport

New baby grandson,
Kept me from traveling very far.
PV sucked with switching directions,
and up and down wind.
The Sport ate it up.
Easy relaunch, even in super light wind.
Very fast turning.
More power.
one-pump.
I can't believe they made a great kite even better.

Went to Monte, just to check,
looked like Augie was having up and down day.
So we left.
Wanted to see new grandson anyway.
