South Padre Island North Flats 16.5
We went to Holly beach (dump)
just to check it out before the wind started
A little light
half dozen spins
decided to let them be a transition
seems normal way for me to do them
then I'll work on ending the same direction
I was going when starting the spin
timing on jumps feels good.......
day after day building good muscle memory
great trip

South Padre South Flats 7-9M
Huricane Wilma was sucking the air from inland
Blew 40-50mph most night, hard to sleep
wound down through the day
saw a 225 lb guy get blown off the water on a 5m
so we went for a long lunch
then in 52 degree air
we rigged Jon's 7m and took turns kiting
and getting warm
then around 5
I rigged a 9m
and kited till dark
a day to remember

South Padre Island North Flats 16.5
First day for Jon and I, started light
and got stronger as the day went on
finally becoming powered enough to
have lots of fun
Whipped jumps off the flat water
kiting till the bright red sunset
hate wearing booties, but no choice
with the sharp shells on the bottom

Pineview 16.5 OP'D
8Oth day kiting since 1/1/05
No wind anywhere in the forcast,
In the fall, it's a possibility for Pineview
Doug and I hiked in from Cemetary point Pay booth
on the water at 1:15
Smooth, flat water in the beginning, then
screaming upwind, overpowered reaches
later in the day, then wind not as smooth,
but not "drop your kite" type of lulls.
Very, very fun, couple of hours
close to home,
and clean, deep, water.

ULSSB 11M
Jon was pulling trees out of the water
when we arrived
Rode Jon's 11m until the mini tornado hit
Cold when out of the water, but
warm enough when riding. SO
just keep riding...
Maybe the gustyest day ever at SSB
but still better than any other Lake.
The second session was as Doug said,
"a little slice of heaven"

ULSSB 16.5
I was working central Utah
Stopped at ULSSB on the way home
blowing 16mph
called Dean, needed company there
avg 17.5 the whole time there (50 deg. temp)
westerly angle made for good starboard ramps
fun jumping off them, on my bad side.
Bonus day.......

ULSSB 9m 13m
Doug and I tried Willard on a North
It won't work
The only launch is in a bad tree shaddow
Doug tried but couldn't keep it up.
If we could have got out, it looked good
.
Vern and I headed to ULSSB at 12:00
no good forcast, just wind pages on the cell.
very surprised to be the only two there
26-32mph so we rigged 9m
it lightened up a little and we went out
Jake, mark, Sal, Ryan, Thomas 1 unknown
It got lighter and I rigged 13m,
bigger than the others, and was the last out
Used North Ironheard bar, love the micro hook.
I think it will be the end of my tennis elbow, great bar!
as we were leaving, Jake rigged 17m
in hindsight 11m then 16.5m would have worked good

Willard 16.5
Blowing dust in the valley
the only way it should be
when heading to Willard
25mph in town
14 at Willard
Doug and I rode for a while then it died
hung around
it came up again
and we rode for quite a while
steady wind, for a south
lots of fun, surprise session
